Leadership

  • Jeremy Mattern

    Jeremy Mattern

    Chairman, Co-founder

Jeremy Mattern is the Founder, Chairman, and Managing Member of Eccentric, bringing to the company a career defined by entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and the development of mission-critical systems operating at national scale.

Over the course of his career, Mattern has founded, built, and led companies at the intersection of technology, healthcare, public safety, aviation, and complex operations. His work includes Intermedix, which grew to become one of the nation’s largest providers of electronic medical-record and medical-billing solutions, and Medic-CE.com, a nationally accredited continuing-education platform serving emergency medical services professionals.

Mattern also founded Iberon, where he pioneered technologies supporting some of the most demanding security and public-safety environments in the United States. Among them was NCITE, a platform developed to provide authorized undercover law-enforcement personnel with secure access to restricted FBI, counterterrorism, and state criminal-information systems. Under Mattern’s leadership, Iberon also developed the security and identity-vetting solution adopted by the U.S. Department of Defense to enhance force protection across U.S. Army installations throughout the continental United States.

His work in public-safety technology extended to large-scale emergency 911 communications, including mass-notification systems engineered to rapidly reach hundreds of thousands of people within defined geographic areas during critical events. Mattern is a named inventor on dozens of U.S. patents, reflecting a career-long emphasis on transforming complex operational problems into scalable, dependable technology.

A lifelong aviation enthusiast and private aircraft owner, Mattern extended that operational focus to business aviation as the founder of International Trip Planning Services, a global flight-support company providing around-the-clock operational planning and meteorological services to Fortune 500 corporate flight departments and other sophisticated aircraft operators.

In 2026, Mattern established The Mattern Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization dedicated to expanding access to addiction treatment for individuals who might otherwise be unable to afford care. The Foundation reflects his broader belief that consequential institutions should ultimately improve the lives of the people they serve.

Long before becoming a technology entrepreneur, Mattern’s career began on the front lines of medicine and emergency response. He served as a house-staff physician in Family Medicine at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and as a Fire Department Captain and Paramedic, with responsibility for overseeing emergency medical services on Houston’s west side. Those experiences—where reliability, speed, judgment, and accountability can carry life-or-death consequences—would profoundly influence his approach to building companies and technology.

Today, Mattern brings that uncommon combination of medicine, technology, public safety, aviation, and entrepreneurship to Eccentric’s telehealth platform. His focus remains the same one that has characterized his career: eliminating friction from complex systems and building technology that performs reliably when the stakes are highest.
